A GIRL with a four-and-a-half-inch TONGUE believes she has the longest licker in the world. Gerkary Bracho Blequett can touch her elbow, her ear lobe and even her eye by stretching out her lizard-like tongue. The 20-year-old, from Ocala, Florida, reached over a million views on YouTube after posting videos of her tongue-tricks online. And now she is planning to enter the record books to claim the title of World’s Longest Tongue.
Gerkary Bracho Blequett: “I first realised it was really really long when my friends wanted me to show them if I could lick my eye. I tried it and it was shocking. I was shocked when I see I could touch my eye with my tongue. My friends always want to take a picture with me sticking my tongue out. “
Karina Blequett: “My friends are alwyas excited. They always tell me, “Oh! Your daughter has the longest tongue! It’s so amazing!”
Gerkary Bracho Blequett: “I posted a picture on Instagram and I got a lot of followers, and they were like, “Oh I don’t believe it’s true.” So I made a video so that they could see it was true. I got like a million views on Youtube, about 6 to 7,000 on Instagram, and I got a lot of messages telling me to post more pictures or more videos. It’s crazy and makes me feel famous. “
But not all attention she receives is welcome.
Gerkary Bracho Blequett: “I don’t like men talk to me in a sexual form, it makes me uncomfortable. And it’s kind of nasty, I don’t know. the first thing they’d say is, “Oh, your boyfriend should be very lucky.” The people reaction is different. Some people react like, That’s nasty”, some people react like, “That’s whoa! I want to see it again.” And some people just get scared. I don’t mind getting negative reaction, I mean, there’s different people. “
Gerkary wants to have her tongue measured officially to beat the current World Record Holder, who’s got a whopping 10.1-centimeter tongue.
