A man died on the way to Baguio General Hospital after he was shot dead by a riding in tandem in Barangay Bagong Bayan Salud Mitra at 10:20am this morning.
The victim was identified as Dante Viduya, 39, a resident of Barangay Basa Pacdal, Baguio City.
Police Chief Inspector Marlo Evasco, “The victim is the number one personality in the drug watchlist of Police Station 3 in Baguio City. He had been invited many times to submit themselves under Oplan Tokhang but they refuse to show up in their station.”
He was sipping a cup of coffee when a riding in tandem, wearing helmet and bonnet, stopped nearby, one of them alighted the motorcycle and approached him, and shot him.
Evasco said the victim’s wife filed in May 2016 a case of violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
Investigation in ongoing on the motive and the identity of the gunmen.
