The Philippine National Police has launched a new mobile application called “ITAGA MO SA BATO” and “Text BATO” hotline 2286 to facilitate public reporting of any crime in the Philippine National Police.
The Philippine National Police has partnered Globe and Smart companies for the text hotline in which P2.50 pesos is their charges per text. Sending complaint is free of charge if you use mobile app which can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
And according to PNP Chief Dela Rosa they will immediately forward the complaint to the local police for them to respond. Officials also believes that many incident will be avoided with the help of the people. The PNP chief added, the hotline would have better if it was launched before the Davao City Bombing.
