Evan Fasciano is a boy with a skin condition known as Harlequin Ichthyosis. Ichthyosis is a rare genetic disorder that is said to occur when the skin grows as fast as ten times more than the normal growth rate.
As for Evan Fasciano, his case was diagnosed a few days before his birth. He was born nine weeks earlier so he spent 58 more days in the hospital before going home with his parents.
As a result the boy doesn’t sweat and is therefore susceptible to heat stroke and seizures. To avoid this, his parents often clean up any fluid around his ears and other hidden parts of his body. They also bath him regularly to make sure his skin is always clean.
